About me
I'm a brand identity and UI/UX designer based in San Diego. I build visual systems that are clear, considered, and built to actually be used. My work sits across identity, digital, print, and product, with a focus on design that holds up in the real world, not just on a presentation slide.
I believe the strongest brands know exactly what they are. Not just visually, but in how they communicate, what they stand for, and what they leave out. Good design isn't decoration. It gives a brand a foundation to build from. Something that scales, travels, and still makes sense when someone pulls it off a shelf or opens it on their phone.
My approach starts with understanding the problem before deciding what anything should look like. I like work that is clean and purposeful without being boring. Clear without being obvious. Whether I'm designing a full identity system, a UI, or a campaign, the goal is always the same. Make something that earns attention without asking for it.
I founded LANDSCAPE, a surf and outdoor lifestyle brand I built from the ground up. Designing it as both the designer and the person who has to wear it, sell it, and stand behind it taught me more about building a real brand than any brief ever could.
Growing up in San Diego, surfing, spending time around the brands and culture that come with that, shaped the way I think about design. I'm drawn to brands that exist in the real world. Things people actually use, wear, and come back to. That's the context I work best in and the kind of work I want to keep building.
Open to full-time, freelance, and collaborative work.
